Move United Education Conference:
The Move United Education Conference invites sport providers to gather over a common interest in ensuring athletes with disabilities have access to sport. Anticipating 500+ attendees at the event, discussion will center around improving access to sport and recreation for individuals with disabilities. The event will feature pre-conference workshops, 30, 60 and 90 minute educational sessions and workshops, research poster displays, socials, an exhibitor hall, and more. Historically, attendees have represented a variety of affiliations including Move United member organizations, general sport organizations, city parks & recreation departments, National Governing Bodies, universities, schools, VA hospital staff, general hospital therapists, disability resource groups, and more.
About Our Host Partner:
Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers (Sasc) support individuals of all abilities in leading active and healthy lives through participation in adaptive sports and recreational activities. The programs are delivered under the supervision of Spaulding clinicians and adaptive sports professionals, and are open to children and adults in three eastern Massachusetts regions including Boston, Salem and Cape Cod. Staff members help each participant find the most appropriate activities to meet their abilities and help them Find Their Strength.

Attendees will be responsible for securing their own transportation to get to Cape Cod. Move United will provide transportation from the host hotel to/from any conference session and workshop venues.

This event is appropriate individuals of all experience levels working with individuals with disabilities in the sport space. Anyone wishing to acquire new skills, refresh their skills or investigate new topics and conversations are encouraged to attend. Additionally, students and others wishing to explore the field and network are welcome. There will be sessions open to individuals of all backgrounds and experiences.
Conference sessions will primarily be hosted out of the Emerald Resort & Conference Center in Hyannis, MA.
While the capacity limits are strict, please make sure to join the waitlist for the workshop. We will notify you if a spot becomes available.
Yes, presenters will receive a complimentary reigistration to the conference. They will be provided instructions on how to register upon acceptance of their session(s).
Attendees will be eligible for refunds of all but $50 of their event fees until March 13th. Beyond March 13th, we are not able to provide refunds.
Not at all! The conference will have sessions for individuals of all backgrounds and experiences.
Absolutely! While there are a few familiar faces among our team of presenters, all of the presentations and workshops will be new for the 2026 conference. Attending the conference each year will help you make progress on your professional development goals and expand your network.
Yes! Qualifying sessions will be submitted for NCTRC as well as BlazeSports CARSS continuing education pre-approval. We are also working on securing CE pre-approval for occupational therapists and physical therapists. If you are interested in receiving other CEUs, please reach out to Cayla Hammaker at chammaker@moveunitedsport.org. We are always looking to expand benefits offered through the conference.
