Ramon Moore

Steve Martin
- Goodyear
“Sports to me mean…a lot actually. I’m not a big proponent of inspirational quotes, but love that everyone at my gym knows I am working hard and they have stopped saying things like, “ if you can do it. I have no excuses.” I know they don’t mean it as an insult, but it is if you stop and think about it…I work hard to stay physically healthy because of all my injuries. I hurt 24/7 so I go to the gym nearly every day to earn my pain. If I am going to be in pain it will not be from sitting on my ass.” - Former Army Corporal Steve Martin
Martin served as a Corporal in the Army and National Guard for eight years. He was injured in Afghanistan in 2008 by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) while on operations as a State Department contractor.
As a result of his injuries, Martin lost both legs below the knee. Since his injury, Martin has run many full marathons, triathlons, climbed mountains, competed in track and field, scuba dives regularly, teaches spin classes at his gym, plays softball, and CrossFit.
Steve has also completed a successful summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, one of the famed Seven Summits. Steve retired from his job as an Arizona State Trooper and was the only double leg amputee in the country serving as a patrol officer.
Today, Steve is an active Move United Warfighter Ambassador giving his time to help other injured warfighters.
Alfredo Lopez

My name is Alfredo Lopez, born in Los Angeles, California. I am one of six siblings. I joined the U.S. Military at age eighteen. I went to basic training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. I deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005, Operation Enduring Freedom in 2008, and 2009. I was MEDEVAC in both deployments which contributed to my medical retirement. I was medically retired as a Sergeant First Class.
I love to share my passion with the adaptive cycling community. I enjoy helping the disabled community and the organizations that support adaptive cycling.
To someone who is thinking of trying adaptive sports, I recommend Move United and their chapter member to seek out a sport that helps to overcome their impairments.
My goal is to advocate for the adaptive cycling community to allow adaptive bikes to participate in public events.
Brayden Clements

"Brayden is a 16 year old runner from Long Island NY. He started running at the age of 10 and he doesn't allow his disability to get in the way of what he truly loves to do. Brayden has participated in countless numbers of track meets and road races and is a proud member of his high school varsity cross country and track teams.
Brayden's passion for running has not only helped him physically and mentally but he also excels academically as an honor roll student and scholar athlete."
