GallopNYC - Giving Alternative Learners UpLifting Opportunities, Inc.
GallopNYC offers both horseback riding and therapeutic horsemanship programs to New Yorkers, particularly riders with disabilities, veterans, seniors, and at-risk youth. We also offer recreational riding programs to the general public. Both recreational and therapeutic schedules at each location vary seasonally.
Therapeutic Riding Programs
GallopNYC uses the proven benefits of therapeutic horsemanship to provide measurable benefits for people with developmental, emotional, social, and physical disabilities. Through weekly riding sessions with PATH-Int’l. instructors, we help riders learn new skills, inspiring each one to live life as fully, productively, and independently as possible.
Recreational Horseback Riding
GallopNYC offers limited public horseback riding lessons as part of our horse education programs at GallopNYC Forest Hills and GallopNYC Sunrise Stables. Lessons are available at all levels from beginner through advanced for children and adults.
Horse Education Programs
GallopNYC offers free horse education sessions to the public as part of our horse education programs. Participants will have the opportunity to meet a horse and have a brief introductory riding lesson. The sessions are first come – first served. The length of the sessions vary depending on the number of riders that we need to accommodate.
