Adaptive Club

Nevada Paralyzed Veterans of America

Encouraging our members to stay active through sports and recreation continues to be one of the primary objectives of our chapter. Our members actively participate in a variety of local sports and recreation programs in Las Vegas.

Some of the programs include wheelchair tennis, wheelchair over-the-line, power soccer, quad rugby, and one day boating and fishing. We also send our members to national sporting events, such as the PVA National Trapshoot Circuit, National Bass Trail, and the National Veterans Wheelchair Games.

We hope that our sports and recreation programs will encourage all of our members to lead full and active lives, no matter what their interests might be.

Flyfishing made a real big difference in my recovery and helped flip that switch from thinking about negative things to positive things. There is a lot of peace and a lot of connecting with nature involved with fishing. – David Folkerts, Chief Operations Officer of Project Healing Waters   Fishing 101 Photo Credits: Matt Romero,…
