Southern Arizona Adaptive Sports

Southern Arizona Adaptive Sports believes in the power to adapt and achieve. We aim to transform lives through adaptive sports. We are a nonprofit, volunteer-driven adaptive sports organization formed in 2017 to serve as a catalyst that connects and inspires people in ways to get involved, get active. We are a proud Chapter of Move United, United States Tennis Association, National Wheelchair Basketball Association, and the National Wheelchair Softball Association.

 

At Southern Arizona Adaptive Sports, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts providing adaptive sports opportunities. We make it happen through cooperation and community empowerment. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.

 

WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL
SAAS provides competitive and recreational wheelchair basketball for individuals with physical disabilities ages 18 and older. We offer National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) certified coaching, loaner equipment and opportunities to compete in tournaments.

 

ADAPTIVE CYCLING
SAAS has a large and diverse collection of cycles for use by persons with physical disabilities. We offer orientation and training to new riders, independent use of our cycles and group rides. We offer supported group rides and individual loaner cycles.

 

WHEELCHAIR TENNIS
SAAS offers wheelchair tennis play days, clinics and certified coaching/instruction at the Reffkin Tennis Center, Run & Roll tournaments and match play. Loaner tennis chairs, racquets and balls available.
