Angel City Sports
Angel City Sports provides year-round introductory adaptive sports opportunities to children, adults, and veterans with physical and visual disabilities or impairments. All adaptive athletes can participate, learn and train in a variety of sports such as Archery, Swimming, Wheelchair Tennis, Wheelchair Basketball, Track & Field, Sitting Volleyball, Powerlifting, Goalball, and Table Tennis. Thus, Angel City Sports has established a leadership position in Southern California to play a leading role in building momentum towards the 2028 LA Paralympic Games.
Our flagship event, the Angel City Games, presented by The Hartford, is the largest multi-sport Paralympic-style competition in the United States. The 2020 Games will consist of nine clinics and competitions over four days at the iconic UCLA Campus, which will take place June 18-21. Since its inception, the Games have grown each year, and it is anticipated the 2020 Games will bring together more than 550 athletes to compete in nine Paralympic sports. The Games will also include the recreational sports of Cheerleading and Esport. The vision for the games is to eventually offer all summer Paralympic sports with thousands of athletes –potentially growing larger than the Paralympic Games themselves!
