  • Discounted lift tickets are available ONLY during the duration of the event for registered participants.
  • There will be an opportunity to pre-purchase lift tickets during online registration. Refunds are not available.
  • Pre-purchased lift tickets can be picked up during event check-in:
    • Sunday, 12/3: 1:00pm – 6:00pm
    • Monday – Friday, 12/4 – 12/8: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Lift tickets are NOT included with the price of lessons or Ski Spectacular Instructor Academy clinics

Vail Adaptive Pass Program

Adaptive Passes are season-long passes that offer access to VAIL resorts at a discounted rate for Pass Holders with permanent disabilities.  Anyone determined to have a permanent disability that severely limits one or more major life activities is eligible for an Adaptive Pass. Vail Resorts qualifies a permanent disability as a permanent physical, mental, or sensory impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, such as caring for oneself, performing manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning, or working.

Epic Season Pass

“Active/Retired Military with permanent physical disabilities can ski all season long for free at more than a dozen USA resorts thanks to Move United’s Warfighter program.  Any active or retired military who are registering independently* for The Hartford Ski Spectacular and who qualify for the $163+/year Epic season pass may submit their proof of purchase (receipt) to bpodgorski@moveunitedsport.org for reimbursement**”

*Any Veteran or service member receiving a scholarship to attend The Hartford Ski Spectacular will receive separate instructions on how to secure their Epic lift passes for the event.

In the U.S., the following military personnel and their families qualify for an Epic Military Pass:

  • Veteran: A person who served in the active military and who was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable.
  • Active Duty (full-time): A person who is currently serving on active duty is in the military full-time.
  • Reserve & Guard Forces: A person in the Reserve or National Guard is not full-time active-duty military personnel, although he or she can be deployed at any time should the need arise. Members of the Reserve & Guard are eligible for the Epic Military Pass (Active/Retired/Dependent) if they are currently serving in the Reserves or National Guard. (This does not apply to members of the IRR – Individual Ready Reserve.)
  • Retired: A military retiree is any former member of the uniformed services who is entitled, under statute, to retired, retirement, or retainer pay. Examples include, but are not necessarily limited to, spending 20 or more years in the military, or permanent retirement by reasons of physical disability.
  • Dependent: Immediate family (spouse and dependent children only) or Registered Dependents of Active/Retired/Veteran Military members. Parents of military members are not included, nor children who are no longer dependent. Definitions for age/eligibility requirements are defined by the military and Department of Defense.
