The Gold Level of membership is intended to include and support organizations and small programs who’s primary focus is providing adaptive sports programs to athletes with disabilities.


Membership Basics:

General Description:Small Adaptive Sports Organizations; Inclusive organizations with small adaptive programs. Can include Parks & Recreation programs, Rehab Hospitals, YMCAs, etc.
Adaptive/Inclusive programming days per year:15+ days
Minimum % of participants with disabilities served annually:50%
Annual Operating Budget (focus on adaptive program if part of a larger entity):<$50K
Number of participants with disabilities served annually:<150
Direct Sports programming to athletes with disabilities:Must have conducted adaptive/inclusive programming for minimum of 12 months prior to chapter application
Annual Dues:$200

Gold Grant Program - Eligible to apply for 75% of grant opportunities offered through Move United Grant Program

*In order to be eligible for grant funding through Move United, applicants must be tax-exempt (i.e. 501c3 or government entity).
Gold Training & Education Program - Eligible to apply for 75% of training and host opportunities offered through Move United Training & Education Program
Gold Partnerships - Priority access to relationships with corporate, federal and national partners with respect to engagement and sponsorship opportunities, as well as adaptive sports subject matter experts/trainers.

Applicant Requirements:

Independent 501c3 / Non-Profit Organization
Provide IRS determination letter, articles of incorporation, bylaws, and proof of registration as a charity in state of operation
Offer direct sports programming to athletes with permanent disabilities
Must have conducted programming for minimum of 12 months prior to chapter application, and have an active online presence (i.e. website required, social media optional)
Demonstrate that programming is offered in safe and accessible environment Provide information related to athlete protection protocols; training, screening, and qualifications of instructors/coaches/volunteers
Demonstrate sound financial guidelines Provide most current budget and (if applicable) 990, 990-EZ or 990-N
Demonstrate competent governance Provide list of board members and two organizational reference letters
Carry Commercial General Liability Insurance Provide proof of CGL with minimum limit of $1,000,000 per occurrence limit and $2,000,000 aggregate limit, and 5 year Loss Run Reports for all policies held
Comply with Move United's Sport Protection PolicyDemonstrate all current athlete protection policies and procedures; If none exist, commit to development and implementation of such policies and procedures with assistance from DSUSA
