Hosted in partnership with Mind Body Solutions

The Disabled Sports USA Membership Network is invited to apply for admission to a free 2-day Adapt2Achieve Adaptive Yoga Training hosted online May 7-8, 2020 to support the training of their staff, volunteers, and community partners who teach disabled veterans.

With support from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Disabled Sports USA is partnering with Mind Body Solutions to provide adaptive yoga training. We have planned to host the 2-day workshop “Yoga as a Complementary Approach to Whole Health Living” in partnership with 6 VA Medical Centers around the country in 2020. Due to circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will now be offering a workshop online on May 7-8, 2020.

This course seeks to help attendees apply yogic principles to their work, therefore fostering a culture of mind/body awareness that has benefits for both the client and the provider themselves. The training is suitable for healthcare staff and adaptive sport providers who seek to expand their skillset and explore yoga as a modality to help people live a more embodied life. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion of the course. This, however, is not a certification course in terms of being “certified” to teach yoga.

Funding is also available through equipment grants and scholarships to support current yoga instructors who wish to pursue advanced training.
